kop9000: You must remember everything used in Sourceforge latest code may not be 100% working.

Just popping here to mention that I love the title screen feature of OBLIGE so much. The random image/texture combined with a randomize name (and the occasional subtitle) adds so much to the experience. They're both serious and corny at the same time, both feeling meaningful and hilarious, making playing a megawad feel far more engaging than without it. Like its a unique real full lenght campaign every time.

I actually read them out loud every time I load up a generate map pack for the first time. Thank you for adding that feature man.

The next version that comes out publicly (be it WIP/test or official) will have an expanded listing of words used for title generation.

Will this also include/expand level name generation?

A few words I think, but it's primarily stuff in the title names.

"Base Instinct" and "Chaos Awake" sound like good episodes to use for Doom1 because those were mentioned in the Doom Bible.

I have finally had a chance to download and try out this package. It’s really impressive! The architechure is really nice, making for some really fun levels. My only complaint is that even the smallest levels are quite huge, with a number of really large rooms. I wish I had the time these days to make an ObHack7 that could make 1024x1024 random maps based on the build process Oblige7.55 does — but I do not.

Speaking of ObHack, I have released ObHack 008.3 this week; this is ObHack 008.2 with real boss arenas: ObHack now makes, as best we can with the limitations of the Oblige version 2 engine, a small level with a boss arena and enough weapons, ammo, and armor to defeat the boss monster.

One final thing: I have also finally updated my mirror of the Oblige Git repo at https://github.com/samboy/Oblige

Suggestion: Can the FreeDoom face be an option as I largely like the original IoS face.
